Meet the Happy Pets Team

Three Cats Playing

Anna MVetSci PhD MRCVS

Originally from Germany, Anna graduated from Munich University Veterinary Faculty in 2010. She initially worked in equine and ambulatory small animal medicine, alongside some animal welfare research work on city farms. She completed a Masters Degree in Conservation Medicine and a wildlife disease PhD at the University of Edinburgh, before returning to mixed practice in 2019. She joined Happy Pets in 2022 to be able to move back to the lovely city of Edinburgh. Outside of work, Anna enjoys travelling and the great outdoors, often accompanied by labrador Ruby.

Bronwyn AAS (VT) BA (ALPP) BVM&S FHEA

Bronwyn joined the Happy Pets team earlier this year having kept us on her radar after seeing practice here as a vet student many moons ago. " It is a real dream come true working with such wonderful colleagues and clients in this extraordinary community." Her evolution as a vet and ability to think ‘outside the box’ has been formed by her time as a veterinary nurse working in a zoo along with her experiences as a mixed animal vet in the Cotswolds and an exotic animal clinician and lecturer at the vet school. Now, happily back working with dogs and cats again, Bronwyn really values forming a partnership with pet owners and their furry family in helping to deliver compassionate and individualised care. In her free time, you’ll likely see her out in the neighbourhood with her goofy deerhound, Ember or running errands with her family when not pinned to the couch with a book or puzzle by her ragdoll, Toast. Fig and Pickle, two fire bellied newts, also help to keep her blood pressure low with their silly antics."

Steph BSc(Hons) RVN

Steph comes to us from the beautiful Emerald Isle, but has been calling Edinburgh home for the past 7 years with her partner and their gorgeous little rescue cat, Saffy. She graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2018 with a BSc honours degree in veterinary nursing. Steph enjoys all aspects of nursing but she loves interacting with clients, nurse consults and answering all your questions about how to best care for your furry friends!

When she is not working, she is spending time with friends, going on walks and cooking up new recipes.

Eva BSc(Hons) RVN

Eva joined Happy Pets as a veterinary nurse in 2022, straight out of Edinburgh Napier University. Born in Edinburgh and with family ties to the Netherlands, she has brought lots of enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the practice. She is currently setting up to be our social media manager. Outside of work she can be found on the beach with cocker spaniel Izzy, cooking delicious meals and then heading off to the gym to burn off the calories.

Lynda

Lynda is our front of house gal and has been with us since 2014. She manages all our reecption duties and is the first friendly face you see when you arrive at our practice. She is an Edinburgh native, being kept busy with her family and pets - a Puggle called Tony, Dachshund called Pablo and Polly the cat.

Barbara

Barbara joined the Happy Pets front of house team towards the end of 2023.  Prior to that she worked for many years as a dog walker and loved being outdoors, but especially loved spending time with the dogs. She chose to hang up her muddy boots and leads to join the world of animal care and has enjoyed it every step of the way so far. She has learnt so much about caring for animals and is really enjoying interacting with clients and their pets.

In her spare time, she loves to get out and about and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Barbara loves seeing her family and friends, and if the weather is rubbish she will most likely be at home in her cosy pjs eating her favourite snacks and watching a good movie or two.
