Vaccinations

Prior to giving your pet a vaccination, we will thoroughly examine it to ensure that is fit to receive it.

Our standard vaccine protocol for dogs covers distemper, parvovirus, canine hepatitis, parainfluenza and leptospirosis (covering 4 subtypes).

For dogs that go to day care or kennels, we also recommend a kennel cough vaccine.

We also offer an additional parvovirus top up vaccine for puppies that had their initial vaccination course when they were very young.

Indoor cats are vaccinated against feline calici virus, feline rhinotracheitis virus and panleucopenia virus. Outdoor cats additionally receive a feline leukaemia (FeLv) vaccine.

The initial vaccination course (puppy/kitten course) comprises two injections 3-4 weeks apart. The first booster is given 12 months later and completes the initial vaccination course. We then recommend that you bring your pet for an annual booster and health check. We will provide information on which will be included each year during the appointment.

We also offer rabies vaccinations with or without a formal certificate.
