Flea and Worming

Our standard recommendation for dogs is a monthly oral flea and tick treatment and a 3 monthly worming treatment. Dogs which eat slugs regularly may require more frequent worming for lung worm prevention. We are happy to discuss which option is best for your pet.

For cats we offer both spot on and tablet options for worm, flea and tick treatment. Outdoor cats will require more frequent treatment than indoor cats. We can advise which medication will best suit your cat's individual needs.

In line with recently updated legislation, your pet requires a physical examination once every 12 months with a Veterinary Surgeon in order for us to prescribe parasite treatments. If, during the year, you would like to change the parasite treatment used, a repeat examination may be necessary before your prescription can be changed.
